2002 Richard Partridge Cabernet Sauvignon

$ 0.00

Winemaking:

Grapes were hand harvested in late September. Lots from the two vineyards were vinified and aged separately. After destemming, fruit was fermented and macerated for a total of 32 days. This wine spent 22 months in 100% French oak (Demptos and Allier).

The Vineyards:

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sacrashe Vineyard in the hills above Rutherford, and Stanton Vineyards in the Oakville Appellation.

Tasting Notes:

There are aromas of caramel, oak toast, dark cherry, briar, blackberry and mocha tastes. The finish is smooth, focused and extremely long allowing all of these flavors to marry on the palate. This wine is young but very approachable now and can be cellared for eight to 10 years.

Production:

1,000 cases

Awards:

92 Points – Connoisseur’s Guide to California Wine
88-90 points – Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
