2008 Richard Partridge Chardonnay, Napa Valley

Winemaking Notes: Grapes were sourced from The Henry Ranch in the Carneros Appellation and barrel fermented in 100% French Oak (33% new).  This wine was sur lie aged for nine months, and did not undergo malolactic fermentation.
 
Tasting Notes:  Aromas of honeydew, orange blossom, lechee and plantains fill the nose.  Pineapple, apricot and honeydew melon flavors surround a core of lemon zest and tangerine type citrus.  A stylistic hint of minerality and creamy oak through the back of the palate highlight the natural acidity of this well balanced Chardonnay.
